Jebel Samhan

Rising above the Dhofar coastline, Jebel Samhan Nature Reserve is one of Oman’s most remote and ecologically important protected areas. Covering approximately 4,500 square kilometers, it stretches across rugged limestone mountains, deep wadis, and sheer escarpments that drop toward the Arabian Sea, creating a landscape of striking scale and isolation.
