The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the most important mosque in Oman and one of the most impressive religious buildings in the region. Commissioned by His Late Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, it was completed in 2001 and reflects a blend of traditional Islamic architecture and modern craftsmanship.
